University accommodation
You will be guaranteed a place in halls of residence for your first year of study, including Christmas and Easter, providing that you firmly accept your offer of a place and apply by the accommodation deadline.
Staying in halls for a year
If you are interested in a full-year tenancy it is possible to apply for a 50 or 51 week tenancy in one of the halls listed below, and then to arrange the additional one or two week stay later in the year (ideally get in touch with us before June).
- Falmer – Great Wilkins (50 weeks)
- Moulsecoomb – Mithras Halls (51 weeks).
If you apply for a 39-week tenancy in other halls, it’s still possible to stay in university accommodation for the full year. However, your summer stay would be in a different hall, and this would be confirmed in advance. If you’re considering this, please contact the Accommodation Team from April onwards to discuss summer availability and support with transition planning.
We can also help you find accommodation for your second year. Get in touch with us before the end of the academic year if you'd like some help.
Private accommodation
If you would prefer to live in the private sector, rather than university accommodation, our advisers can help you find private accommodation. If you have any questions you can email the accommodation office at accommodation@brighton.ac.uk or find us on .
