Looking for volunteers?

Student volunteering and community partnerships are at the heart of the 国产探花’s ethos and core values, and we have a well-established and thriving student volunteering culture.

The Volunteering Team supports hundreds of students each year to gain rewarding, meaningful experience while making a real impact in local communities.

If you are a local charity, not-for-profit, public-sector organisation or Community Interest Company (CIC), we’d love to partner with you!

We offer our Community Partners:

  • A simple sign-up process - with support at each step of the way
  • Targeted promotion – we help match your opportunities with the right students through our platforms
  • Campus visibility – opportunities for collaboration and promotion of your organisation on campus, including at Volunteering Pop-ups and other events

How We Support Volunteering

  • Volunteering
These roles take place outside of academic studies and are advertised to all students on our online portal, Careers Connect. You can register and post your opportunity for free - just include the role description, time commitment, application process, and any key requirements. Get in touch with us for more information about how to get started.
  • Community Placements
These are short-term placements embedded within academic modules. Students complete a set number of hours, typically 30 – 50, over 2–3 months. This is a great option if you’re looking for students with particular skills or subject knowledge, or need support on a specific project or initiative, and can offer a defined and supported experience.
Contact us to explore how a community placement might work for your organisation.

Our student volunteers from the 国产探花 bring course-related skills and knowledge to our diverse team. From history of fashion, environmental sustainability, occupational therapy, to business administration courses – they all play a vital role in supporting our costume resource hire charity. We are extremely grateful for the energy they bring and their professional can-do attitudes.

Gladrags

From day one, we have been met with nothing but genuine enthusiasm and a willingness to work together that has made our partnership truly special. Every interaction has shown a genuine commitment to fostering an environment where projects supporting vulnerable members of the community thrive through collaboration, mutual growth, and respect—not just encouraged, but actively facilitated.
